CAT 2025 Application Edit Window Opens: Candidates Can Now Select IIM Guwahati
The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025 has entered a crucial stage as the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIM Kozhikode) — the exam’s conducting body this year — has opened the application edit window for registered candidates. This limited-time opportunity allows applicants to make corrections to specific details in their forms, including the option to select IIM Guwahati, India’s 22nd IIM, and its programmes.
The edit window will remain open until October 7, 2025 (5 PM). Candidates are advised to make the necessary updates well before the deadline.
Who Can Make Corrections?
Only those candidates who successfully registered for CAT 2025 and paid the application fee are eligible to access the correction window. Edits can be made in the following sections:
- Photograph and signature
- Test city preferences
- Selection of IIM Guwahati and its programmes

IIM Guwahati Joins the IIM Family
A major highlight this year is the inclusion of IIM Guwahati in the list of participating institutes. It officially becomes the 22nd Indian Institute of Management.

Guidelines for Photo and Signature Upload
Candidates making changes to their photo and signature must strictly follow the specified technical requirements:
- Photo dimensions: 1200 x 1200 pixels
- Signature dimensions: 80mm x 35mm
- Format: .jpg or .jpeg
- File size: Not more than 80KB each
- Minimum resolution: 150 px/inch
- Background: White
- Photo age: Not older than 6 months
The same photograph uploaded during registration will be printed on the CAT 2025 admit card and must be identical to the one candidates carry on exam day. IIM Kozhikode advises keeping multiple copies of the same photograph for future use.
Test City Preferences
Applicants can select up to five test cities based on their convenience.
After registration closes, one of these cities will be allotted depending on availability. In rare cases where none of the preferred cities are available, a nearby city will be assigned.
