NCB Tracks Down 2010 Chennai Drug Trafficking Accused After 14 Years

NCB Nabs Fugitive After 14 Years in 2010 Chennai Drug Trafficking CaseAfter more than a decade on the run, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has finally arrested a man who had been absconding in connection with a 2010 drug trafficking case in Chennai.
According to officials, the case dates back to November 2010, when NCB officers seized 976 grams of heroin from a private bus terminus in Koyambedu. At that time, three suspects involved in the illegal trade were arrested on the spot. However, one accused, identified as Ravi, managed to escape and had been evading arrest ever since.
After years of continuous investigation and tracking, NCB officers recently traced Ravi’s whereabouts and took him into custody. The arrest marks the end of a 14-year-long manhunt, highlighting the agency’s persistence in pursuing old drug cases and bringing fugitives to justice.
Officials stated that Ravi will now face legal proceedings in connection with the 2010 case. The NCB reaffirmed its commitment to combating drug trafficking networks and ensuring that no accused, no matter how long they evade capture, escapes the reach of law.
